Founded on August 21, 2014, Annual National Eat Fritanga at FIU Day was created on a simple premise: life gets busy, careers send us in different directions, and distance grows—but friendship anchors us.
Every year on August 21st, our founding circle and extended members clear their schedules and return to FIU to eat Fritanga together. It is an annual homecoming to celebrate where we started and preserve our bond through good food and great memories.
August 21st is sacred. No matter where life takes you, you make every effort to return to FIU on this date.
Every single year requires an official group photo before leaving to preserve the holiday archives.
Recurring Members are subject to a strict 3-year attendance probation. Missing events risks status revocation.
A designated Founder/Board Member must check in to FIU on Facebook with the photo: "Our #th Annual National Eat Fritanga at FIU!"

The original creators from August 21, 2014. Permanent status. Not open to anyone new.
Holds voting rights on official holiday rules and chapter charters. Can be revoked and downgraded to Recurring Member if duties lapse.
Dedicated annual attendees. Must complete a strict 3-year probation period to solidify status. Can give input but has no official vote.
The hardest role to achieve. Once granted, significantly increases your pathway to climbing into higher tiers over time.
